Packers list OLB Rashan Gary as questionable to play vs. Jets

Packers star edge rusher Rashan Gary is questionable to play in Week 6 against the Jets, but he did practice on Friday. Christian Watson and Tipa Galeai are out.

The Green Bay Packers’ final injury report of Week 6 listed outside linebacker Rashan Gary as questionable to play due to a toe injury.

Gary, the team’s leader in sacks and pressures, was limited by the injury on both Thursday and Friday of this week. Despite coach Matt LaFleur expressing some concern about the injury earlier Friday, Gary did participate during the week’s final practice, leaving the door open for him to play Sunday against the New York Jets.

His status may not be known until inactives are announced 90 minutes before kickoff (or approximately 10:30 a.m. CT) on Sunday.

The Packers also ruled out rookie wide receiver Christian Watson and outside linebacker Tipa Galeai with hamstring injuries. Watson took over on kickoff returns last week and has been the team’s preferred jet motion option, while Galeai ranks fourth on the team in special teams snaps with 85.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers did not receive an injury designation and will play despite injuring his thumb last week. Also without injury designations are left tackle David Bakhtiari, right tackle Elgton Jenkins, tight end Marcedes Lewis and defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt.

The Jets ruled out first-round pick Jermaine Johnson with an ankle injury and listed left tackle Duane Brown as questionable, although he practiced in full on Friday.
