The Green Bay Packers released their second injury report of Week 11 on Thursday, and it featured important information about three key players.
A third and final injury report arrives Friday, with official injury designations included for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.
The three things to know:
– Receiver Davante Adams, who was a limited participant on Wednesday, was downgraded to a non-participant on Thursday, possibly a troubling sign for his availability on Sunday. Adams said Wednesday he’s confident he’ll be able to work through his ankle injury and play against the Colts. It’s possible the Packers will keep him off the ankle once again on Friday, knowing he can play Sunday without much live practice. Adams could be headed for a questionable labeling on the final injury report.
– Cornerback Jaire Alexander was upgraded to a full participant on Thursday. He was still in the concussion protocol as recently as Wednesday, so he’s clearly on the right track and likely trending towards a return on Sunday. He suffered the concussion in Week 9 against the San Francisco 49ers and missed last week’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Full participation in practice is usually the last step in the concussion protocol.
– Cornerback Kevin King once again practiced fully, his second day in a row getting in a full day of work on the practice field. He looks on track to return after missing the last five games with a lingering quad injury. If he’s a full participant again on Friday, it’s possible King won’t even receive a status designation for Sunday. The Packers are hoping for no more setbacks.
There was also good news further down the receiver depth chart. Equanimeous St. Brown (knee) returned to practice, and Darrius Shepherd (shoulder) was upgraded to a full participant.
