The Green Bay Packers will have star pass-rusher Za’Darius Smith available on Sunday against Carson Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Smith, who missed practice during the week and was listed as questionable with an ankle injury, is active. He is the Packers’ leader in sacks (9.0), quarterback hits (20) and forced fumbles (three) this season.
Sunday will be Smith’s 30th game since signing with the Packers in 2019. He has not missed a game.
While Smith will play, the Packers won’t have new wide receiver Tavon Austin, who is inactive after signing in Green Bay earlier this week. So is defensive lineman Anthony Rush, who was also added to the roster this week. Both players will have to wait until next week to make their debuts.
The Packers can wait on Austin in part due to the return of running back and returner Tyler Ervin, who is active after dealing with a ribs injury.
Cornerback Josh Jackson was in the concussion protocol but didn’t have an injury designation on the final injury report, making him a healthy scratch.
Rookie linebacker Krys Barnes, who was listed as questionable with a calf injury, is active. He is making his return after three weeks on the COVID-19 reserve list.
The Eagles will have cornerback Darius Slay, who is set for a terrific individual matchup against Davante Adams.
