The Green Bay Packers are one of several teams to hold a virtual visit with Utah State quarterback Jordan Love, a potential first-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Packers are among six teams that have used virtual methods to meet with Love. They are joined by the New Orleans Saints, Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts.
Teams can’t hold official pre-draft meetings with prospects due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Packers hold the No. 30 overall pick in the draft and will want all the information they can gather on a quarterback that could be in demand late in the first round.
While future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers is under contract for the next four years and coming off another effective season, he turned 36 last December and could be approaching the final few years of his NFL career.
Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com recently picked the Packers as one of the best fits for Love, who has flashed a big arm and athletic ability. He may need time to develop at the next level, which will be possible behind Rodgers in Green Bay.
Love (6-4, 224) threw 20 touchdown passes and 17 interceptions during an up-and-down 2019 season. He tossed 32 touchdown passes and only six interceptions in 2018.
