Packers favored by seven points to beat the Vikings in Week 8

Despite the Vikings’ poor start and the Packers’ great one, Green Bay is only slightly favored to win.

Heading into the Week 1 matchup between the Vikings and the Packers, it was hard to glean what would happen.

Minnesota retooled its roster in the offseason. The Packers did not for the most part. Both teams were coming off playoff berths and both had to navigate the coronavirus pandemic.

Now, there isn’t much doubt which team is better heading into Week 8. Green Bay is 4-1, while Minnesota is 1-5.

Despite the records, BetMGM has the Vikings as just seven-point underdogs for the Week 8 game.

That number could change throughout the week, especially if the Vikings decide to trade any key veterans before the Packers game. Minnesota has already sent Yannick Ngakoue to the Ravens, and it doesn’t seem like the Vikings will be a contender this year, anyway.
