An interception from cornerback Jaire Alexander gave Aaron Rodgers one more opportunity to strike before the end of the first half, and the Green Bay Packers quarterback didn’t miss the chance to strike.

Rodgers, who tossed a vintage touchdown to Davante Adams one drive earlier, hit Marquez Valdes-Scantling on another perfectly thrown pass for a 45-yard touchdown with 14 seconds left in the half.

Valdes-Scantling beat rookie cornerback Cameron Dantzler deep, and Rodgers put it right on the money for the score.

The touchdown gave the Packers a 22-7 lead late in the second quarter. The Vikings tacked on a field goal to make the score 22-10 at the half.

Rodgers completed 19 passes for 201 yards and two scores in the first half.

Adams caught nine passes for 103 yards and a score. Valdes-Scantling caught just one pass, but he made it count.

The Packers dominated time of possession, holding the ball for 22:45 and running 44 plays. The Vikings had the ball for 7:15 and ran just 17 plays.
