It took 18 weeks but Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur finally has a successful challenge during the 2024 season.

In Sunday’s season finale at Lambeau Field, LaFleur — who came into the game with an 0-for-6 record on challenges — won his first challenge of the season on a passing attempt in the first quarter.

Officials ruled a Jordan Love pass intended to Luke Musgrave incomplete, but LaFleur threw the red challenge flag and the ensuing review confirmed that Musgrave made the catch at the Bears’ 23-yard line, creating a 19-yard completion.

The successful challenge was LaFleur’s first since last season’s NFC Divisional Round in San Francisco.

LaFleur and the Packers came into the game ranked tied with the Bears for last with zero successful challenges in 2024.

LaFleur has challenged 43 calls in his head coaching career. Sunday’s successful challenge was his 18th overturned call. He was 3-for-9 on challenges last season.

The challenge and gain helped set up a field goal from Brandon McManus.
