The NFC Championship Game will kick off at Levi’s Stadium Sunday evening at 6:40 p.m. Eastern between the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers. Who will move on to the Super Bowl?
Here are our picks for the game for betting purposes — straight up, against the spread and for the over/under. All odds come from BetMGM.
Money line
This is a tough game to pick straight up. The Packers have the superior quarterback in Aaron Rodgers. Both teams have good defenses that take the ball away. San Francisco is at home.
The Packers were blown out last time but this matchup is likely to be close. Green Bay is 9-1 in one-score games.
I like the Packers at +280, but there is no confidence in it.
Against the spread
The 49ers are favored at -7.5. The Niners won 37-8 in their last matchup. They frustrated Aaron Rodgers. Beating a team twice in a season is difficult, more so when the second time is in the postseason. Green Bay’s edge rush could cause problems and the Packers can run the ball, something the Niners’ defense is not as good at stopping.
This game should be close. Take the Packers at +7.5 (-110).
Over/under
The total is set at 44.5 points. This will go back and forth but with points going on the board. Take the OVER.
