Ozzy Osbourne’s PlayStation VR2 trailer is bizarre, but hilarious

The prince of darkness is all about taking down robot lizards, it seems.

Mere days remain until PlayStation VR2 is out, and Ozzy Osbourne couldn’t be more excited – yes, the heavy metal icon is all for it.

At least, that’s what a bizarre new PlayStation VR2 trailer released Monday suggests. In it, Osbourne (pretends to) play through Horizon: Call of the Mountain – shouting about all the robot dinosaurs he wants to kill. Like, for real. The prince of darkness apparently loves cutting-edge tech; who knew? I wonder what his opinion on the Valve Index or Meta Quest headsets might be.

Check out the trailer for yourself below. It’s certainly a strange, if not memorable, way to showcase Sony’s new hardware.

If this doesn’t sell you on the device, nothing will. For those interested – PlayStation VR 2 comes out on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023, and will start at $549.99. Of course, you’ll need a PS5 to use the PlayStation VR 2.

There’s a decent selection of launch titles, including Horizon: Call of the Mountain, Before Your Eyes, Cities VR, Rez Infinite, Pavlov VR, The Last Clockwinder, Creed: Rise to Glory, and many more. Several of this month’s biggest games are on the platform, so there are plenty of titles to play.
