Southeastern Conference commissioner Greg Sankey announced the 2023 Spring Academic Honor Roll recipients on Thursday, with Florida Gators student-athletes earning 137 spots on the list.
Florida’s men’s golf team placed nine players on the honor roll matching a program record set back in 2008, while the men’s track and field team set its program record with 26; the women’s team placed 24 on the list.
The 2023 SEC champion and NCAA runner-up Gator baseball team placed 19 on the honor roll – the second-highest total in program history, while for the third consecutive season, Gators lacrosse raised their all-time record for an SEC Academic Honor Roll with 31 of their own selected. Softball’s 14 honorees were one away from its record set in 2021, while women’s golf added six, women’s tennis had five and men’s tennis had three.
The 2023 SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2022-23 summer, fall and spring terms. Florida placed 322 student-athletes on 2022-23 SEC fall (113), winter (72) and spring academic honor rolls.
