The Orlando Magic (15-8) square off against the Philadelphia 76ers (5-14) Wednesday evening. Tip-off from the Wells Fargo Center is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Magic vs. 76ers odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: Magic lead 1-0

The Magic fell to the New York Knicks 121-106 Tuesday, faltering as 5-point dogs. F Franz Wagner led the team with 30 points, and his brother, F Moritz Wagner, dropped 20 and 12 boards off the bench. The loss was just the Magic’s second in 10 games and snapped a 6-game winning streak.

The Sixers have won 2 straight after a 110-104 road win against the Charlotte Hornets Tuesday. They narrowly covered as 5-point favorites. F Paul George had a team-high 29 points and 8 assists, but he’ll be out Wednesday. C Joel Embiid (knee) will be out as well.

Magic at 76ers picks and predictions

Prediction

Magic 107, 76ers 105

Moneyline

Maxey averaged 27.7 PPG in 3 games against Orlando last year. I really want to rock with Philly because I think Maxey could will this team to victory without Embiid and PG13. However, the Sixers don’t have the frontline to keep the Wagners under wraps.

Take TYRESE MAXEY OVER 25.5 POINTS (-110), and I would consider taking a chance on Maxey to hit 30 (+160).

Against the spread

As mentioned, I like the Sixers here, but I just can’t get over the hump to take the ML. So I’ll rock with Maxey to pull the cover here. Orlando beat them by 12 in Orlando last month, but Maxey watched that one from the sidelines. He’ll use that experience to lead the charge.

Take the SIXERS +5.5 (-110).

Over/Under

Even without Banchero, the Magic have eclipsed 100 in 7 of 8 games, and the Over has cashed in 5 of those. The Sixers have hit the Over in 3 of 4.

This is a hittable number, and I look for a fast pace with Maxey running the point.

Take the OVER 207.5 (-115).
