It was always expected, but Oregon Ducks wide receiver Troy Franklin has announced that he will officially announce for the 2024 NFL Draft after what was an historic season in Eugene.
Franklin broke a number of Oregon records as a junior, including the Ducks’ all-time receiving TDs record, the single-season receiving yards record, and the single-season receiving TDs record.
While Franklin had one more year of eligibility if he wanted to use it, the fact that he is declaring for the draft comes as no surprise, since many draft analysts have him slotted as a late first-round or early second-round prospect.
In his Oregon career, Franklin finished with 160 catches for 2,483 yards and 25 TDs in 40 total games. He will likely go down as the best wide receiver in Oregon history.
