Oregon women’s basketball ranked inside AP top-10 for fourth-straight season

Kelly Graves’ Duck women’s basketball team begins the year ranked 10th in the first AP poll, marking the fourth-straight year they’ve started inside the top-10.

The tweet says it all.

For the fourth straight season, the Oregon Ducks women’s basketball team will start out as a top 10 team, according to the Associated Press.

The No. 10 Ducks were picked to finish second in the Pac-12 behind the defending national champs, Stanford.

Head Coach Kelly Graves continues to build his program after the Sabrina, Ruthy, and Satou era by recruiting top players from around the country and key transfers.

It also helps to have one of the best front lines in the country in 6-foot-6 Sedona Prince and 6-foot-5 Nyara Sabally.

South Carolina is at the top of the poll with Stanford at No. 3. Oregon State is No. 14, UCLA is No. 20, and Arizona, coming off its first Final Four appearance, starts the season at No. 22.

Oregon could very well play the  No. 1 Gamecocks in the Battle 4 Atlantis Nov. 21.
