The Oregon Ducks football program as announced it will hold a candlelight vigil inside Autzen Stadium to remember the life of former defensive back Khyree Jackson July 10 at 8 pm.
Candles will be provided and personal candles will be allowed for this special event.
Jackson was killed last weekend in Maryland when a driver struck the car he was riding in. His friends Isaiah Hazel and Anthony Lytton were also lost in the accident.
Jackson transferred to Oregon after two subpar seasons at Alabama, but as a Duck, he flourished and eventually became a fourth-round draft pick of the Minnesota Vikings.
In his one season in Eugene, Jackson had 34 tackles, five for loss and three interceptions. But his presence on the field was dwarfed by his presence off the field as everyone involved with the Duck football family will miss him greatly.
