Oregon Ducks RB Jordan James officially declares for 2025 NFL Draft

Oregon Ducks running back Jordan James has officially announced that he will declare for the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Oregon Ducks are losing one of their best offensive players this offseason, with running back Jordan James officially announcing on Monday  morning that he would be declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft.

James, who spent three years at Oregon, had a choice to make this offseason with one year of eligibility remaining should he choose to use it. Instead, James will continue his career at the NFL level, where he is expected to be a mid-round pick in April.

As the RB1 in 2024, James had a career year, rushing for 1,267 yards and 15 touchdowns. In his career, James had 2,215 yards and 31 touchdowns for the Ducks, playing a major role in the offense from his very first year as the program.

In his last game with the team, James left the Rose Bowl against Ohio State in the second quarter with a head injury and would not return to the game.

Going forward, it will be interesting to see what the Ducks do at the RB position with James declaring for the draft. Oregon hosted Tulane Green Wave RB Makhi Hughes for a visit over the weekend, and they are currently projected to land the redshirt sophomore running back out of the transfer portal.
