The Oregon Ducks’ Week 1 game against the Portland State Vikings brought about more questions than it did answers when it comes to the player availability front. While there were some expected absences, like for Nishad Strother, Jestin Jacobs, and Casey Kelly, a handful of other players also sat out, be it for injury reasons or something else.
Fortunately, we were able to get a good idea of who is available and who is not by watching a couple of practices this week in Eugene. Most of the players who missed Saturday’s game were back at practice this week, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that they will be ready to play down in Lubbock against the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
