Oregon at Colorado odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Oregon at Colorado odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Oregon Ducks (7-1, 5-0 Pac-12) travel to Boulder to battle the Colorado Buffaloes (1-7, 1-4) Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Oregon vs. Colorado odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Oregon comes into this game ranked No. 8 in the coach’s poll and No. 8 in the College Football Playoff rankings initial poll. Colorado is nowhere near a match for the Ducks on the field.

Since the Ducks’ 49-3 loss to Georgia in Week 1, they have averaged 42.3 points per game and run off 7 wins in a row. Even against their stiffest competition, UCLA, they won 45-30 in a game not as close as the score makes it seem.

Colorado was lucky to get a win this season against a Cal team that was overlooking the Buffaloes. In 5 conference games, Colorado has averaged 20 points per game while allowing 37 PPG. The Oregon defense with Noah Sewell and Justin Flowe is nasty and Colorado will be lucky to get to 20 here. With QB Bo Nix having 6 TDs in 2 of his last 3 games, Colorado can only hope to hold Oregon under 37 as well.

Oregon at Colorado picks and predictions

Prediction

Oregon 55, Colorado 10

Moneyline

AVOID. Having to wager $10,000 to win $100 is never worth the risk. Do not wager anything on the ML here.

Against the spread

Bet OREGON -31.5 (-110).

Nix has been a different player since the Week 1 Georgia game. He has scored 6 TDs in 2 of the last 3 games for Oregon. This includes 3 passing TDs and 3 rushing TDs against Cal last week.

The defense of Colorado is terrible, having given up 185 points in 5 conference games. I do not think Oregon will get to 185 in this game. But they will get a lot. Colorado will not be in this game and Oregon -31.5 (-110) is my favorite bet in the game.

Over/Under

LEAN to the OVER 62.5 (-112)

The only reason this is not my best bet is that Oregon may not give up enough points to get to the Over. If Colorado does get to 10 points, this game could hit the over. But if the Colorado is as inept as anticipated, they might not get there. Even with garbage time.
