Caris LeVert may have not had his best shooting night in Brooklyn’s loss to the Toronto Raptors on Monday, finishing with 15 points on 5-for-14 shooting (0-for-2 from 3-point territory), but he founds others ways to make an impact on the offensive end — specifically, with his passing.
With Kyrie Irving and Spencer Dinwiddie not in the Disney bubble, LeVert has served as the team’s primary ball-handler. As a result, he’s played facilitator throughout the restart, in addition to No. 1 scoring option.
After setting a career-high in assists during seeding play, LeVert did reset his career-high in assists on Monday with his 15-assist night against the Raptors.
But, that’s not only a career-high for LeVert. The 25-year-old became the second Nets player in the history of the franchise to log 15 or more assists in a single playoff game.
The only other Net to ever do so: Jason Kidd. The Hall of Famer logged 15-plus assists in four playoff games throughout his career with the then-New Jersey Nets.
