The final round of Pro Bowl fan voting has been announced. So, how many Indianapolis Colts players rank among the best at their position group?
Unfortunately, for the Colts, with each passing round of fan voting, they’ve had less representation.
In the previous roundup, we saw Quenton Nelson fall out of the top 10 guards in fan voting. That then left only Zaire Franklin as the No. 3 inside linebacker and Nick Cross as the No. 4 strong safety.
However, in the latest edition, Cross has fallen out of the top 10 and Franklin is all the way down to No. 9 at linebacker.
Through Week 17, Franklin leads the NFL in total tackles with 165. He’s also generated 13 pressures as a blitzer and has three pass breakups and two interceptions.
With only one player making the top 10 at their position group in fan voting, only the New York Giants and Chicago Bears have fewer with no players on the list. Jacksonville, New England, Carolina, and the LA Rams all have one player as well.
In addition to being recognized as one of the best at each position group, Pro Bowl recognition can be tied to contract incentives for some players as well.
The NFC and AFC Pro Bowl rosters will be determined by the fans, coaches, and players, with each group’s vote counting as one-third towards determining who makes each team.
