The example Caleb Williams sets at all times is something his teammates notice. It goes far beyond big plays and eye-popping stats.
Caleb Williams does so many things for the USC football team. He means everything to this team in all the obvious ways, but also in hidden ways which won’t get banner headlines.
One under-the-radar contribution Caleb has made to this team: He has been a positive influence on rising star Zachariah Branch.
Speaking to 247Sports, Branch had this to say about Williams:
“Caleb, that’s my guy right there. He’s always looking out. Ever since I got here, he was texting me, making sure we were watching film a couple of times together to just try to get on the same page. But not only just him playing on the field, but him as a person, that makes him different, just the way that he carries himself. I always kind of talk to him about some of my goals and what I want to accomplish that he’s already done. So just trying to learn from him about how he approaches certain situations. Every aspect of him is Heisman — the way he carries himself off the field and on the field. He’s just going to be the best at whatever he does.”
