The Los Angeles Rams found the end zone three times last week against the Seattle Seahawks in their 30-13 win, all of which were scored on the ground. Kyren Williams hit paydirt twice, while Cam Akers also scored his first touchdown of the year on a perfect toss play on fourth down.
We picked Akers to score last week and he cashed that bet, so we’re back with another anytime touchdown scorer for Week 2 when the Rams face the 49ers on Sunday afternoon. Rather than going back to the running backs, who admittedly have a good chance to score again, we’re going with a certain rookie receiver who shined in his NFL debut.
Yep, it’s Puka Nacua, who is +188 to score a touchdown at BetMGM.

Nacua tied Tyreek Hill for the league lead in targets last week, seeing 15 passes thrown his way by Matthew Stafford. There’s a clear trust in the rookie receiver for Stafford, even though Nacua dropped two passes last week in Seattle.
There’s no reason to believe Stafford won’t keep going back to Nacua against the 49ers, especially in a game where they Rams could be playing from behind more than they were last week. And Nacua almost scored his first career touchdown against the Seahawks but he was pushed out of bounds at the 1-yard line.
It’s hard to imagine Stafford going another week without a touchdown pass and with how often he looked Nacua’s way, Puka should get at least a few opportunities to score when the Rams reach the red zone. His odds aren’t particularly long like they were last week but Nacua has become Stafford’s favorite target with Cooper Kupp out and we know how often Stafford threw Kupp’s way in 2021 and 2022 when they were in scoring territory.
