Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class is filled with talent at every position, led by 5-star quarterback Husan Longstreet and 4-star defensive lineman DJ Sanders. Still, one name has continued to make headlines during his final year of high school football.
Needing to add more speed and downfield explosiveness to the wide receiver room, 4-star WR Kelshaun Johnson committed to the Aggies over the Texas Longhorns earlier this year and has continued to look like one of the top overall athletes in the cycle. While the Longhorns are certainly trying to flip him, Johnson is still firmly committed to the Aggies.
After scoring a late touchdown to take the lead in Hitchcock’s recent game, Johnson revealed that he will attend Texas A&M’s Week 5 matchup vs. Arkansas at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, which will be his first game this season.
With the Aggie offense finally looking better after defeating Florida 33-20 last Saturday, Johnson can visualize his place in the future lineup, possibly with quarterback Marcel Reed, who could start his second game of the season against Bowling Green on Saturday night.

According to 247Sports, Johnson is currently positioned as the 196th-ranked prospect, the 20th-ranked wide receiver prospect, and the 27th-ranked prospect in Texas.
Texas A&M will host Bowling Green on Saturday, Sept. 21. The game will be available to stream on ESPN+ and SEC Network+.
