Just before Arkansas picked up one of the best defensive ends in the transfer portal, the Hogs received a bit of good news for their secondary.
South Alabama cornerback Marquise Robinson committed to Arkansas out of the transfer portal, a year after becoming a regular in the Jaguars defense.
Robinson will join a cornerback unit that returns potential AllSEC selection Jaylon Braxton and regulars Jaheim Singletary and Kee’yon Stewart. Arkansas had previously added Tennessee transfer Doneiko Slaughter from the portal, as well.
At USA last year, Robinson had 36 tackles with three interceptions and three pass break-ups. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
Arkansas’ defense was good in 2023. The Razorbacks were especially solid at stopping the pass, ranking 32nd in FBS upon allowing 202 yards per game.
Four spots in front of Arkansas in those rankings? South Alabama with Robinson.
