One of Notre Dame football’s mid-season transfers has found his new home

Best of luck!

On Sunday, Notre Dame football head coach [autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag] confirmed what was believed to be the case with players not entering the transfer portal.

He explained to the press that the team understood the task at hand, and all want to be part of the ride. However, a few players had entered earlier in the season, and on Friday one of them, defensive end [autotag]Tyson Ford[/autotag], made his decision.

The former high 4-star recruit will head West and play for the California Golden Bears. Ford could never get into the rotation for the Irish, as the 6-foot, 4-inch and 290-pound lineman was multiple younger players pass him on the depth chart.

While you always hate the see anyone leave the program, you have to understand what he saw. Ford will surely get playing time for the Bears, as we’ll finally get a chance to see what he can do. Unfortuantley, it won’t be for the Irish.
