Wisconsin has been active in the transfer portal since the regular season ended in late November. The entire sport has, as nowadays the most pivotal and hectic time in the college football calendar are the few months between the end of the season and when the transfer portal window closes. Drastic roster moves are made, from Alabama and Georgia’s tier of the sport down to the MAC and the American.
But it must be noted that the Badgers 2024 transfer haul has been impressive thus far. Luke Fickell and his staff are up to 10 commitments in the class, including former Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke, former LSU tight end Jackson McGohan, Arkansas leading tackler ILB Jaheim Thomas, former Oklahoma running back Tawee Walker and former Michigan State wide receiver Tyrell Henry.
The assembled group is viewed highly by fans in Madison, but also by those in the recruiting industry. On3 recently ranked it No. 8 in the nation, ranked behind only Louisville, Colorado, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Syracuse, Missouri and NC State.

Some of this is a matter of volume, with schools like Colorado up to 19 commitments in the portal class. But the Badgers have focused on both quantity and quality as Fickell works to rebuild the roster and install his systems on both sides of the ball.
