LSU’s opening game against USC could bring a lot of firepower.

On3’s Jesse Simonton has made a list of the top 10 nonconference games of the 2024 season. LSU’s opening game against USC has made the top 10.

LSU vs USC comes in at No. 3 on the list as there is a lot of hype surrounding the opening weekend game. [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] has had back-to-back 10-win seasons in his first two years at LSU and USC is still trying to bring back the glory days of the early 2000s.

USC has [autotag]Lincoln Riley[/autotag] at the helm and his USC team last season followed the same motto as his old Oklahoma teams. They had a powerful offense but their defense was nonexistent. The Trojans gave up 30+ points in eight of their 13 games in 2023. The most they gave up was 52 points to Washington.

LSU will turn to [autotag]Garrett Nussmeier[/autotag] to lead the Tigers’ offense to greatness this fall. With the changes made to the defensive coaching staff, I expect the Tigers to be a lot better on that side of the ball this season.
