On the making of “The Education of Kendrick Perkins: A Memoir”

The book is not your typical tell-all.

The phenomenon of retired NBA players writing a memoir is not exactly a new one, but when it comes to the memoir cowritten by former Boston Celtics big man and current NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins, the book is not your typical tell-all.

“The Education of Kendrick Perkins: A Memoir,” co-written by author Seth Rogan touches on not only Big Perk’s path to the NBA and beyond but also the structural racism he and many NBA players have had to deal with over the decades. An insightful and well-researched biography that moves beyond the genre into issues bigger than basketball, it’s a great read from front to back.

The hosts of the “Hoopsology” podcast linked up with Rogan to talk about the book. Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about Perkins new memoir that hit bookstores everywhere this past week.
