The Boston Celtics signed Las Vegas Summer League standout Jay Scrubb to a two-way contract for the 2023-24 season, according to reporting from Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes. The shooting guard has dominated consistently in summer league play for the Sin City Celtics, noticeably influencing play on both ends.
His scoring ability and off-ball contributions make him a potential fit for the Celtics’ rotation. Scrubb’s effort and adaptability have been key factors in his success with the summer Celtics, and the Kentucky native’s defense has shown improvement over the course of the annual Nevada exhibition series.
The hosts of the “How Bout Those Celtics!” podcast sat down to talk over the Scrubb two-way contract, what he brings to Boston, and plenty more about the newest addition to the Celtics’ 2023-24 roster.
