On the Boston Celtics choking vs. the Charlotte Hornets late

In a disappointing road loss to the Charlotte Hornets, the Boston Celtics blew an 11-point lead in the game’s fourth quarter and an 18-point lead.

In a disappointing road loss to the Charlotte Hornets, the Boston Celtics blew an 11-point lead in the game’s fourth quarter and an 18-point lead the Celtics put up in the contest’s second quarter. Despite a stellar performance from Boston All-NBA forward Jayson Tatum, who scored 45 points in the losing effort, the Celtics couldn’t execute down the stretch.

The Hornets, led by star point guard LaMelo Ball’s impressive play, came back to win in overtime after walking down big Celtics leads two times in regulation. Fellow All-NBA forward Jaylen Brown had a rough night from pretty much everywhere on the court, while star big man Kristaps Porzingis and reserve forward Sam Hauser struggled from beyond the arc, shooting a combined 2 of 22 from 3-point range.

The hosts of the CLNS Media “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast weighed in on the loss on their most recent episode.
