Olympics: Draymond Green scores six points vs. Spain in Team USA’s final exhibition before Tokyo

In Team USA’s final exhibition before leaving for the Tokyo Olympics, Draymond Green scored six points in 25 minutes against Spain.

After a canceled contest against Australia and changes to the roster, Team USA’s men’s basketball squad suited up for their final exhibition game in Las Vegas on Sunday before leaving for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

In a solid test against Spain’s roster that features multiple NBA veterans like Marc Gasol, Ricky Rubio and Willy Hernangomez, Team USA trailed by two points at halftime. Yet, new addition Keldon Johnson helped jumpstart Team USA in the third quarter.

In 17 minutes off the bench, the San Antonio Spurts forward notched 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the floor with three boards, a block and two steals for Team USA.

Behind Johnson and Damian Lillard, the Americans surged past Spain with run a in the third quarter to take a controlling lead. On the way to Team USA’s 83-76 victory, Lillard tallied a team-high 19 points on 6-of-14 shooting from the field with six assists, four boards and four steals in 32 minutes.

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green drew the start against Spain, scoring six points on 2-of-7 shooting from the floor. The three-time NBA champion added four rebounds, three assists and two steals in 25 minutes for Team USA.
