No. 9 Ole Miss took down rival Mississippi State, 31-21, on Thanksgiving, winning the Egg Bowl for the second consecutive year and bringing the Golden Egg Trophy back to Oxford, where it will hang out for at least another year.
But it wasn’t enough for Ole Miss to beat the Bulldogs and extend coach Lane Kiffin’s reign as king of Mississippi until the teams meet again. The team’s Twitter account — which has produced some spectacular content throughout the season — has been celebrating the victory since Thursday night.
And Friday, the account delivered a hilarious dagger in the form of a Christmas wishlist on Amazon for Mississippi State fans with an overt “egg-free” theme to it. A+ trolling right here.

Items on the list include eggless cookbooks, such as Baking Without Eggs, children’s books, like Peter Rabbit: The Tale of the Missing Egg and Batman in the Case of the Missing Egg, and other products with an eggless theme, including egg-free seasonings, vegan eggs and other egg alternatives, eggless mayonnaise and eggless cookies.
Just incredible content from Ole Miss football’s Twitter account, which seldom misses a perfect trolling opportunity — along with Kiffin. And, of course, college football fans loved this.
When done properly, as here, post-Egg Bowl smack talk is as brutal as it is beautiful. https://t.co/lO2IwX93m1
