This is a game of contrasting styles in 2022.
The Rebels played high-tempo football last season with QB Matt Corral under center. They took a lot of short passes to get the team down the field. This season, behind QB Jaxson Dart, the Rebels are showing a different format using RBs Zach Evans and freshman Quinshon Judkins to beat opponents into submission with the run game.
For its part, Vanderbilt is playing much better this season. However, the Commodores are still at the bottom of the SEC for the time being. Coach Clark Lea is doing wonderful things for them, but it will take time to get this team to be competitive against the best the SEC has to offer.
Vanderbilt lost 55-3 to Alabama Sept. 24. This week should not be as bad. But it still will not be close for the Ole Miss Rebels.
