Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray tied for fifth-best odds to win 2020-21 NFL MVP

And no, it’s not Baker Mayfield this time around.

After winning the Offensive Rookie of the Year award after the 2019-20 season, Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray has already put away those who thought he wouldn’t make it at the quarterback position in the NFL.

The Arizona Cardinals’ have surrounded Murray with superstar receiver DeAndre Hopkins and drafted extremely talented offensive tackle Josh Jones from Houston in the 2020 NFL Draft. All of that combined with Murray blowing up the NFL in his first season have led him to being listed high amongst potential NFL MVP honors.

As high as being tied with Tom Brady for fifth for the best odds to win NFL MVP in 2020-21.

The top four is rounded out by stars Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Dak Prescott and Russell Wilson. Even Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers and Deshaun Watson trail Murray. Mayfield is listed at 50-1 odds.

Murray was a part of the most efficient offense in college football history during his Heisman Trophy winning season at Oklahoma in 2018. He was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft by former Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingbsbury and Arizona.

The 2020-21 NFL season is still on time to start in Sept.
