Former Oklahoma quarterback and tight end Blake Bell recorded a catch in Super Bowl LIV on Sunday in the Chiefs 31-20 win over the 49ers.

Bell saw an unconventional path to the biggest stage in football, starting as the Sooners quarterback in 2013. He completed 140 passes for 1,648 yards in 11 games for Oklahoma.

The next year, Bell swapped to the tight end position, playing nine games and  catching 16 passes for 214 yards. He finished with four touchdown receptions and four rushing touchdowns in the goal line package.

Bell is now in his fifth professional season. He spent his first two season with the 49ers, the team he played on Sunday, and spent his third and fourth season with the Vikings and Jaguars, respectively.

In his season with Kansas City he caught seven passes for 67 yards.

Bell joins running back Damien Williams and deep snapper James Winchester as Super Bowl LIV champions.
