No harm done for Oklahoma on its first bye week of the 2020 season.

The Sooners stayed put at No. 3 in the Amway Coaches Poll, although Georgia is now tied with them despite not playing. Oklahoma hasn’t moved anywhere in the newest AP Poll—the Sooners stay at No. 3.

Clemson, Alabama, Oklahoma, Georgia and Florida round out the top-five of the newest AP Poll. Texas jumped up one spot to a tie with Auburn at No. 8 as Oklahoma State fell four spots to No. 15 after the Cowboys underwhelming 16-7 win over Tulsa on Saturday.

The AP Poll has yet to include Big Ten teams unlike the Amway Coaches Poll.

Oklahoma did what it was supposed to do in its first game with a 48-0 win over FCS Missouri State. The Sooners introduced Spencer Rattler to the world, who threw for four touchdowns and 290 yards in a half. Alex Grinch’s defense got started quickly in year two with a shutout.

Oklahoma returns to action this week against Kansas State as it begins Big 12 play. The Sooners kickoff at 11 a.m. CT.
