It was a dull week for Oklahoma.

The Sooners won a 27-14 snoozer over Baylor on Saturday after a week due to COVID-19 issues at Oklahoma. Lincoln Riley and his 2020 team were not rewarded for the effort.

The newest College Football Playoff rankings were released on Tuesday night. Oklahoma came into Tuesday ranked No. 11, and that’s where the Sooners will be heading into Saturday, the College Football Playoff committee announced.

At 7-2 and No. 11, Oklahoma is still not technically out of this race now. The committee moved Iowa State up to No. 7 in this week’s poll, one spot higher than Cincinnati. The Sooners can avenge their early season loss to the Cyclones in two weeks with Alabama-Florida and Notre Dame-Clemson matchups coming.

Oklahoma State fell seven spots to No. 22 after its loss to TCU and Texas re-entered the rankings at No. 20. No other Big 12 schools are ranked.

Oklahoma is back on the road this week to take on West Virginia in a  rescheduled game on Saturday.
