Late in the first quarter, Oklahoma State made a change.

Oklahoma defensive end Ronnie Perkins got around the left side of the Cowboys’ offensive line. He got ahold of Spencer Sanders, spun him around and tossed him to the ground.

Sanders was playing with a bad ankle in the Kansas State game two weeks ago. After this play, Sanders exited Bedlam and hasn’t returned since. Oklahoma State has not provided a comment for why he is out.

The starting Cowboys’ quarterback was replaced by true freshman Shane Illingworth. He came into the Tulsa game early in the year, started the West Virginia game and the Kansas game as Sanders dealt with an injury.

So far in Bedlam, Illingworth is 4 for 14 with 64 yards and a passing touchdown. He has one carry for two yards.

Oklahoma leads Oklahoma State at half 27-13. The winner of Bedlam has clear path to the Big 12 Championship game if they win out.
