The Oklahoma Sooners take on the Kent State Golden Flashes in what looks like another mismatch.
The Sooners showed a variety of weapons in their Week 1 win over UTEP. Seven players made a reception, and seven players recorded a carry. We didn’t even see Jayden Gibson or Gavin Sawchuk record a touch. Could that change in Week 2?
Look for the Sooners to attempt to air it out a bit more this week as they try to get their passing game in sync before their road trip to Lincoln, Nebraska. Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. threw for 345 yards and four touchdowns in the Huskies’ Week 1 domination of the Golden Flashes. I expect Gabriel to have his first 300-yard performance of the season as the Sooners win big again to improve to 2-0.
Oklahoma 56, Kent State 13
