The eyes of Lincoln never lie.

2021 five-star wide receiver Mario Williams announced his commitment to Oklahoma on Friday via his Instagram.

Ranked as the No. 2 wide receiver in the 2021 class per Rivals, the Plant City, Florida, native chose the Sooners over Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and LSU.

Oklahoma has won its fair share of recruiting battles over the SEC recruiting powerhouses as of late. In the 2019 recruiting class Riley and his staff gained five-star wideouts Trejan Bridges, Jadon Haselwood, and Theo Weese.

With Williams’ commitment, the dominoes are beginning to fall into place for Oklahoma’s 2021 recruiting class.

Williams is now the sixth verbal commit and the first five-star commit for the Sooners’ 2021 recruiting class, joining Richmond, Texas (Richmond Foster High School) native, four-star Cody Jackson.

So far, Oklahoma has a very balanced 2021 class with three offense and three defensive recruits lined up to step on campus next summer. Ranked No. 51 in the nation prior to Williams’ commitment per Rivals, the Sooners are sure to jump plenty of teams following Williams’ commitment.
