Oklahoma makes top schools for 2022 four-star tight end from Georgia

The Oklahoma Sooners made the first cutdown for 2022 four-star tight end Oscar Delp of Cummings, Georgia.

The Oklahoma Sooners are one of a few schools that make the tight end a focal point in their offense. Mark Andrews is the top tight end for receiving yards in school history. His 1,765 yards is No. 13 overall and just 20 yards behind the No. 12 receiver in Oklahoma history. The Sooners offense has used players such as Jermaine Gresham, Blake Bell after he converted from quarterback, James Hanna, Keith Jackson, and the list goes on.

The current top tight end is Austin Stogner, he will be heading into his junior year in Norman for 2021. Lincoln Riley has found no issues with bringing in tight ends who can be formidable matchup issues for opposing defenses. In the 2022 recruiting cycle, there are plenty of options. One such option being Oscar Delp of Cumming, Georgia. The four-star tight end is listed as the No. 10 tight end in the country.

The Sooners being the only Big 12 school in contention for his recruitment, given that he plays in SEC country it comes as no shock to see some of these schools in the running.
