The 6-foot-4, 182-pound Opelousas, Louisiana (Opelousas Catholic High School) native narrowed his choices down to Oklahoma, Florida State, Kansas, Mississippi State, Michigan State, and South Carolina. Coleman had offers from fellow Big 12 schools Baylor and Oklahoma State but they did not make the cut.
Per Rivals, Coleman is the No. 72 ranked wide receiver in the 2021 class and the No. 12 2021 recruit in the state of Louisiana.
The Sooners currently have 19 offers out on 2021 wideouts with nine of the 19 currently verbally committed and two of the 19 committed to Oklahoma (five-star Mario Williams and four-star Cody Jackson).
The Sooners currently have the No. 25 recruiting class in the nation per Rivals with seven commitments. So far the class is very balanced with four defensive commits and three offensive commits.
