The Pac-12 followed behind the Big Ten conference on Tuesday in cancelling their fall sports slate.
The conferences are attempting to play their seasons out in the spring, but the move has sent a ripple affect across the nation, and it hit Oklahoma in the heart of its basketball schedule. The Sooners now lose a Pac-12 opponent in Washington.
The game was to be played in Las Vegas on December 19.
The Big 12 conference’s directors and presidents met on Tuesday, and decided that they will attempt to move forward and continue with a fall football season.
The Sooners are still slated to play SEC opponents Florida and Arkansas on December 2 and 12, respectively.
Oklahoma is also schedule to play in the Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu, Hawaii from December 22-25. Their opponents for the classic have yet to be announced.
Head coach Lon Kruger will now be entering his tenth season with the Sooners.
