Quarterback Spencer Rattler went 14-for-17 for 290 yards and four touchdowns, all in just the first half of the contest.

The redshirt freshman threw deep bombs of over 50 yards to Charleston Rambo and Marvin Mims for the second and third touchdowns of the game.

Led by sophomore linebacker Brian Asamoah, the Sooners didn’t allow MSU even a look at the endzone, pitching a shutout and allowing the Bears to gain just 136 yards in total. Asamoah led the team with seven total tackles.

Texas trails Oklahoma at No. 9, followed by Oklahoma State at 11.

Iowa State went from 23rd to unranked after a loss to Louisiana.

Oklahoma now has a bye week before taking on Kansas State on Sept. 26 at 11 a.m.
