Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Tennessee and Georgia round out the rest of his list. He does not plan on narrowing his list down again before his decision is made on Aug. 15.
“I got it down to these schools because of the connection I have with the coaches and the location,” Mims told Rivals. “I have been talking to each of these schools every day for a while now. All have a lot to offer and are high on my list.”

Oklahoma currently has the 19th ranked class according to Rivals. The addition of Caleb Williams and Latrell McCutchin on July 4 helped the Sooners shoot up the rankings.
“I am not quite there yet.” Mims told Rivals on reaching a decision. “I am going to keep talking to the coaches, talking to people close to me and make the best decision for me. Coaches are important, but playing time is big and just how I fit into the team.”
