Oklahoma has had a lull in recruiting the Sooner state over recent history. That all is changing as Oklahoma is in the running or has already secured a verbal commitment from four of The Oklahoman’s ‘Super 30’ in-state prospects.
Beggs defensive back, Kendal Daniels tops the list. With Clemson, LSU, and Texas A&M all making a push for the three-star safety, Oklahoma has a good chance of keeping him at home.
Ethan Downs, a Weatherford defensive end comes in at No. 2. Downs verbally committed to the Sooners earlier this year.
Tulsa Union’s AJ Green, the third-ranked prospect by The Oklahoman, has quite a set of teams pursuing him. With those teams in pursuit, the Sooners may or may not get involved again.
Another defensive back, Choctaw’s Jordan Mukes cracked the top-10, coming in at No. 7. Mukes committed to Oklahoma back in March.
The Sooners are currently ranked No. 25 in the Rivals 2021 recruiting rankings with seven recruits including one five-star receiver, Mario Williams.
