Oklahoma Football Notebook: Lincoln Riley, Joe Jon Finley talk Friday

Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley and new associate head coach for offense Joe Jon Finley met with the media on Friday.

Spring practices are rolling on for the Oklahoma Sooners as the calendar shifted to April this week meaning the annual spring game is only a matter of three weeks away from taking place at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman.

One of the bigger chances to a Sooners team that brings the vast majority of its key players and coaching staff back is the addition of new associate head coach for offense/tight ends and h-backs coach Joe Jon Finley, who was brought in to replace Shane Beamer back in mid-January.

For the first time since that hiring, Finley was made available and spoke to the media on Friday to talk about his return to Norman and how things are going so far. As well as Finley, head coach Lincoln Riley provided updates on the latest with his team in the midst of spring ball.
