After a crushing defeat in the Orange Bowl, Oklahoma has fallen to No. 6 in the final Amway Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Louisiana State finished a perfect 15-0 this season, and capped off their perfect season with a national championship win over the defending Clemson Tigers. Unfortunately for Lincoln Riley and the Sooners, they stood in the way of LSU, and suffered a 63-28.

The 35-point loss was hard to forget for many, as Oregon and Georgia both jumped Oklahoma to No. 4 and 5 respectively. Oregon earned a 28-27 Rose Bowl win over Wisconsin, and Georgia a 26-14 win over Baylor in the Sugar Bowl.

The Sooners did have enough slack to stay ranked above No. 7 Florida and No. 8 Alabama. The Gators and Crimson Tide both earned bowl wins this season, so staying ranked above is a testament to Riley and the Sooners season and their ability to bounce-back.

LSU, Clemson, and Ohio State round out the top three teams. Baylor was the only other Big 12 team to finish ranked at No. 12.
