The wave of momentum behind the scenes is coming to fruition for Oklahoma.
Lincoln Riley and the Sooners just made a splash on the recruiting trail by landing five-star wide receiver Mario Williams.
The Plant City, Florida, native picked Oklahoma over a top-five of Alabama, Clemson, LSU and Florida. Williams is also a star baseball player and will play baseball at Oklahoma.
Here is what Riley is getting in his latest five-star wide receiver.

Just two years ago, Oklahoma brought in three five-star wide receivers, but the one in 2021 is the best one yet. Mario Williams is the most explosive receiver recruit Oklahoma has landed since Dede Westbrook out of Blinn Community College in 2015. Williams is a violent route runner. Has violent cuts and gets separation on any defensive back. Any space and he’s gone. Thick body type, but probably a mid-4.4s runner in the 40-yard dash. Excellent at high-pointing the ball. Aggressive player. Already has established next-level ability on double moves. Potential superstar in Oklahoma’s offense.
