Undermanned and injured, the Wildcats threw a haymaker at then-No. 3 Oklahoma on Saturday and won.
The Wildcats, who were down seven starters due to COVID-19, scored 31 second-half points to come from behind and stun the Sooners 38-35 on their home turf.
Spencer Rattler finished 30-for-41 passing for 387 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions.
Texas fell from No. 8 to 9 following its close game with Texas Tech, and Oklahoma State is ranked just one spot ahead of the Sooners at No. 17.
After being upset by the Wildcats for the second-straight year, the Sooners now face their first road game, at Iowa State, on Saturday.
