For the first time since 2016, Oklahoma finds themselves outside of the top-25.

The Sooners lost to Houston in their first game and Ohio State in their third game that year. Oklahoma was out of the top-25 for two weeks before re-inserting itself after a win against TCU. After two-straight upsets to Iowa State and Kansas State, Oklahoma has fallen from the top-5 to completely out of the top-25 in the Amway Coaches Poll.

The Sooners held a 35-14 lead against the Wildcats before they scored 24 unanswered in a quarter and a half. Oklahoma led the Cyclones 17-6 in the second-quarter and 30-23 in the fourth-quarter before stumbling to a 37-30 loss.

Alex Grinch’s defense had mental busts against Kansas States, corrected those, and then they stopped tackling against Iowa State. The Oklahoma offense, somehow, has taken a step back from even where it was at a year ago.

The Sooners will travel to Dallas for their annual rivalry game with Texas on Oct. 10 at 11 a.m. CT.
